A LETTER TO THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Here in New York, the Daily News has really worked to get the Zadroga bill for 9/11 first responders through Congress. Here are couple of News front pages from earlier this month:

So, in response to this news...

New York Democrats hoping for quick action on a bill to give health care compensation to Ground Zero workers are about to run into Tom Coburn.

The Oklahoma Republican and physician -- known in the Senate as "Dr. No" for his penchant in blocking bills -- told POLITICO Monday night he wouldn't allow the bill to move quickly, saying he has problems with parts of the bill and the process Democrats are employing....

... I'm begging the News to put this on the front page tomorrow, in big, bold type:

202-224-5754

That's the D.C. office number for Senate Coburn.

I'm going to call the SOB's office, and I hope you do the same. But I think it's high time that "Senator No" heard "What the hell do you mean, 'No'?" from a real cross-section of angry residents of New York and the tri-state area.

That's where you come in, Daily News. Please, just do it.
